In serious need for a Xmas/New Year break!

I can see that the holiday is slowly approaching. I have the vision of stepping off the plan to meet Luke in Brussels. For some strange reason, I do not feel that the holiday is coming to me this year. It has been a very busy, hectic last few weeks of the year. Not just work, but with the Xmas parties taking place, the priority is shifting on hourly basis. Anyway, that is that really.

I am looking forward to relax for 10 days in Brussels and meeting Luke and Aidah once again. I visualise that I will just relax, but I am not certain with that. I am sure there’d be loads of stuff planned. I just can’t wait. Sometimes, I would get conflicting messages from my brains and body – my body is telling me to relax and my brains scream to get as many things done as possible. But, let’s see.

+ Bruges - here I come ;)

We have a few plans lined up. Visiting Bruges, Antwerp, The Hague and Amsterdam are a part of the plan really. I am sure whether within 10 days, that is possible. But we will try. Running up to this trip, I sidelined my air ticket for like months till this very morning. I could not locate that at is buried in thousands of other emails. I managed to find it and get it printed and I am so ready to take off.

I will meet Barry at the airport on Sat. He is off to India for a month. Good for him. That is really big holiday really. But it surely needs a lot of planning too. Anyway, before leaving his party last night – we want to make sure that we catch up on Saturday at the airport. We plan to have a breakfast together before we take off to our destination. At least his destination will promise some sun and heat. I will be enveloped with cold and frost. That doesn’t matter really. As long I get to be with friends and relax a little.

I was at Barry’s last night for his X’mas cum going-away-for-holiday party. It was fantastic. Ronan his housemate is such a great cook – with all the amazing roast chickens, the various desserts – it was simply amazing. I got to meet some really cool people – Charlotte who is practising drama for the disable people as therapy, to Amy who is off to Ecuador to work with the animals and venture into Amazon at some point, as well as Isabelle who works for Google. It is an amazing night. I planned to leave early but I discovered that I left at about 2.00 AM! – Hence, I feel that the computer screen is piercing right through my eyes now!!!

Oh man, I am so desperate to get out of the office now. I am so desperate to finish this Spain project now. The proof to this was – early this morning (I got in at 10AM anyway), I sent email to everyone that goes like this “Hi all, I am going to go ahead with the analysis based on our previous discussions. I am going to use the original set of numbers as we agreed. Unless I hear otherwise within the next hour, I will go ahead and conclude this analysis and I am off for my X’mas holiday starting from tomorrow”.

Yes. I threw in the towel. I need to. I am seriously knackered now. I need to relax.

The end of 2008

How time flies! In a few days, it will be Raya Haji and them there will be Xmas and there will be New Year... goodness. How time flies! And we are so close to completing 2008.

Looking back at the whole of 2008. So many things take place. Some of them, well in favour of my very own plan and intention. Some of them, are a bit off tangent. Well, that is fact of life really and there is nothing so bizarre about it.

Syukur to Allah, towards the end of the year - there have been so many good news in the like of receiving a new niece. My sis in law gave birth to a baby girl in Oct. That is awesome. That is one of the good news towards the end of the year. Well, there are a few more; I guess I'd better keep them to myself really.

Work has been great. I cannot ask for more. I have been (again!) neglecting this blog. I am not making a plan to update it as much as possible. But, I will try.
