One of those days - boring

[Photos will follow suit. I am off for my lunch in the park now]

This is where I ate earlier:

+ There were tulips and all, but I could not be bothered to take pics of them. Haha.

I was late to go to work today. Well I estimated that I would be in by 10.00 AM and I got in at 5 mins to 10.00 AM. It was not so bad after all, yeah?

Here I am. I am not sure what I will write anyway. Anuar from Finance Dept has asked me to go to lunch with him, which I said YES to (I suggested lunching in the People's Park). I was aware that I wanted to make a trip back to my flat to finish off the Nasi Goreng Belacan that I cooked yesterday. So I guess dinner won’t be such a decision-making-process tonight then (but wait a second, there is not much left). Whatever!

I am sitting at the desk wondering about so many things really. I am supposed to help out a colleague with the knowledge management portal but she is busy attending a conference (this has delayed things). Unless we agree on the way to go ahead, I won’t be able to start. Now Day-2 is close to being gone. I need to start soon.

On top of that, my head is wondering on so many things really. The certification that I need to list down all the projects that I was involved in before, the PPR for the Sudan project, the expense claim for Sudan (the final one), the bank holiday that I need to plan, the friends that I am supposed to meet that I don’t have the energy to meet. Oh this is so complicated I think. Do you know what I feel like doing? Nothing! Absolutely nothing. But I am more worried about work really and the up coming holiday. I don’t know where to spend it. I don’t want to be stuck here and not doing anything. On the other hand I want to discover this place. Although I can fly down to London but, I am hearing what my body is saying – tiredness! Overused!

OK now, what was I up to in the weekend last week. Well on Sunday, I went to spend my credit notes at Philips. I had Euro140 to spend – simply because I returned the Living-Color light. It was meant for a friend back in Malaysia, but it didn’t work out well and I could not grow to like it anyway – just not me. So in the end, I spent it on my iPod speaker that I have been wanting to own (yes, it is not Bose, but what the hell) and a portable vacuum cleaner that is just nice for my tiny place. Oh there is another one, I bought myself a new earphone for my iPod – it was kind of color coordinated with my pants on that day; Green!

+ This is the Philips LivingColor light that I could not grow to like!

+ The Philips shop I talked about - on Dame St.

+ The iPod speaker. Quite nice by the window. But I need to go back to the shop since I can't select the next song etc. Perhaps I will go back to the userguide again.

+ Cute earphone, don't you think - it matched the the drink and the pants I wore that day!

Then I moved on to eat at Milano. (Yes I did all these alone, it was fun really). I had some baked pasta. Actually they have taken away the Mushroom Ravioli that I like so much. Now, I must find another place that does Ravioli. I wonder why they took it off the menu really – it was. It is, or now, it is used to be my all-time favorite. I had the same thing again and again during my Cambridge days – so happen there’s a Pizza Express (as they are called in the UK) just outside Downing College.

+ The food at Milano, yum yummmm

+ Rozita, if you read this, check out the small poster on the left. Haha.

+ The restaurant, by Temple Bar where tourists congregate

Right after that, I carried on with window shopping at Arnotts and Debenhams. To finish it off, I got a phone call that a friend invited me for dinner. Ramlah is also my neighbor – her place is just next door. I managed to go to Asian Foodstore to buy some Halal chicken, lemon grass and chilies. Uh after dinner I went for a walk by the Pier. Check out the pics.

+ It is beautiful right? On the way to the pier. And, mind you, it was close to getting dark. Nice camera work.

+ Nice to be back.

+ I want to own one...

That was the Sunday that just passed.
